Why out of all the noble gases, only Xenon can form compounds?

The textbook answer is that xenon is a large sized atom and hence the force of nucleus over the electrons is weak and hence very small energy can exite the electrons and hence it’s easier for xenon to form compounds then other nobel gases.
There is a catch, according to the explanation radon should be the one with most compounds, this does not happen because radon is radioactive with very small half life so to actually get stable compounds with radon is very difficult.
