why paper cannot be written on glass . ?​

The paper supports enough friction and you put force on pencil so pencil's carbon core leaves mark on paper. Whereas glass possess a extremely smooth surface due to which you cannot leave any carbon core mark from pencil by your force merely. So a pencil will write on paper but not on glass.
