Why parallax method can't be used for measuring distances of stars more than 100 light years?

The parallax method depends on the fact that when you see an object against a distant background from two different points, the position (angle) of the nearby object changes. The obvious limitation of the method is the change in angle; if it is too small, you cannot use the parallax method.
