Parturition is a neuroendocrine mechanism and is started by the signals from the fully developed foetus and the placenta, which produce the foetal ejection reflex. This causes release of oxytocin from posterior pituitary, which in turn causes even stronger uterine contractions

Hey mate!

I am here with your answer!

Parturition is induced by a complex neuroendocrine mechanism. The signals for parturition originate from the fully developed foetus and the placenta which induce mild uterine contractions called foetal ejection reflex. This triggers release of oxytocin from the maternal pituitary.

Hope this will help you!
