bcoz & K is given special status becoz while dividing India & Pakistan, both countries fighted to have it.

According to article 370 grants special status to the the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir. This prevents the Indians to buy land in Jammu and Kashmir and give "special status". Making them different from any Indian, no other rule is applied there they have totally different rule for them even the supreme court's judgements are not applicable.
Recently government removed the article 370 now Jammu and Kashmir is a union territory which now the special status is removed. Now any Indian can buy and sell land in Jammu Kashmir.
