why photo films are taken out in dark room????

Photo are taken in dark room because the colour used in printing the photo undergoes decomposition due to ultraviolet light . ie: The colour gets reacted with the presence of light. This type of reactions are called light decomposition

Photo films and papers are made from salts of silver that naturally only darken when exposed to violet or blue light. ( in the olden days) . Also silver bromide dissassociates into silver and brominewhen light acts on it.
