why photoautotrophic bacteria lack chloroplasts​

Hi Mate,

bacterial cell do not have chloroplast but yet some phototrophic bacteria perform photosynthesis due to the presence of chlorophyll incorporated in the membrane points embedded in the cell membrane are reaction centres which specifically absorb light energy.
