bez according to the wave thoery energy is uniformly distubuted across the wave front and is depandent only on the intansity of the beam .tbis means the KE of electron mustincrease wth light intansity .however the KE was indepandent of light intansity .

According to Wave theory kinetic energy is directly proportional to intensity but we know that kinetic energy is proportional to frequency.
Wave theory says that number of electrons are proportional to frequency but according to laws of photoelectric emission we know that number of electrons are proportional to intensity this is the reason why wave theory was not able to explain Photoelectric effect.
