3.14 is the value of pie . It is an approximated value . It is taken to make calculations easier in case if circles.

Let me explain like this , by considering a circle of any radius.

R = Radius of circle

Circumference of circle = 2 × π× R

→ π = ( Circumference of circle)  ÷ (2× Radius)

As circumference of circle is a real number and twice of radius is also a real number.

But the value of \frac {\text {Circumference of circle}}{2\times radius} always comes out to be an irrational number i.e 22/7 which is 3.14....

you can check this result by drawing any circle of your choice by taking a thread of any definite length and measuring its radius .Divide perimeter of circle i.e length of thread by radius of circle you have drawn with this thread.

As you will see value of π will come out as 22/7 or 3.14...
