as they are universal producers and autotrophs they are not considered as non vegetarian

non veg means those who cant prepare theie own food and depend on others.as plants prepare their own food they are not considered as non vegetarian

as these plants do reproduce on their own and these prepare food on their own by the process photosynthesis and these plants are also called as the universal producers.and the main reason why plant is non veg is it doesnt harm any living thing it does its work on its own it doesnt eat another organisms if we come to the non harming plants..
but there are some plants like venus flytrap,pitcher plant i think these come under non veg as they consume other insects to perfomr photosynthesis..........
