Why plants photosynthesiz in day time and respire during night time?

due to the availability of sun is only in day so at day tym they do PHOTOSYNTHESIS...and during night tym...when no sunlight then plants do respiration to prevent them from desication.

photosynthesis occurs only in presence of light so in day time photosynthesis occurs. plants do respire all the day inorder to maintain their energy requirements
