why potassium and sodium kept into kerosin oil?

Because K and Na is very reactive metal.and catch fire quickly.

Sodium is keep in kerosene because it is more reactive in atmospheric oxygen and it catches fire .So to prevent accidental fire it is always kept in kerosene
