Why potential is dependent on reference poiint while potential difference is not

Ans ➡️ Suppose there are 5 trains running in parallel with some finite speeds such that :

Sa>Sb>Sc>Sd>Se

1-You are inside Train 'a', you could feel that you are the fastest one.

2-You are inside Train 'e', you could feel that you are the slowest one.

Now you know you are gonna switch among these five trains only throughout your whole life, so you start judging their speeds relatively.

If you take Sa=0, then speed according to you is always a negative quantity
