Environmental degradation is a process induced by human behaviour and activities that damage the natural environment [4]. Poverty is considered as a great influence of environmental degradation. In many regions of the world, regional overgrazing has resulted in destruction of grazing lands, forest and soil.

Poverty is considered responsible for Environmental Degradation due to the reason that poor people tend to to use the the natural resources directly and at a faster rate.
Rich people or people with well financial status have the ability to use the resources provided yo them through various products but poor people use the natural resources directly like firewood, medicine, fodder for grazing animals, etc. are obtained by them from forests. Consuming and exploiting the natural resources at a faster rate degrades the environment.
