why r forests considered " biodiversity hot spots " ?wat would be the consiquencies due to the loss of biodiversity ???

Forest is a place where we can find diversified plants. animals and other living organisms. So it is a hot spot for bio diversity. It is a place where the h=whole chain of living organism feed on each other and grows. BY losing the trees many of the plants and animals are lost. This disturbs the whole eco system and damages the normal working of earth
