Why ratio of cutting force to thrust force is greater than 1?

Hence, cutting force is higher than the thrust force. If your depth of cut value is much smaller than the cutting edge radius, it leads to the rubbing between the tool and workpiece and leads to higher thrust force values than the cutting force.
