It is then dissolved and forced through a spinneret to produce filaments which are chemically solidified , resulting in synthetic fibers or nearly pure cellulose......

Because rayon is manufactured from naturally occurring polymers , it is considered a sami-synthetic....i hope it helps you

Rayon is called artificial silk because it has same appearance like silk, all the features are like silk only but it is cheaper than silk. So it is more favourable too
