Why reflex are developed in animals?

We will try to understand it with an example :-
consider that if our hand touches a hot object then a message will be transferred from our hand's sensory neuron that we are in contact of a hot object. when the message will be transferred and our brain. the brain would take some time to think about the problem and the prevention of further damage to our body tissues .yes this will occur very fast but think of the time taken by the time taken during reflex action.
but if we consider that a reflex action is occurring something as explained below will occur:-
a reflex action does nothing but it receives the electric signal coming from sensory neuron of our hand and sends an impulse to a muscle by a motor neuron to simply pull the hand backward i.e, away from the hot object
