Resistance has a higher melting point because it is made of alloys which offer more resistance and melting point than a pure metal.

Hope it helps!!!

Resistance has high melting point because they are made up of homogeneous mixture of more than 2 metals (alloys) . They have high resistivity so they easily get hot.
