Why respiration is considered as enxothermic?

Respiration involves the oxidation of glucose, to produce energy(38 ATP) from cells.

The energy produced is actually heat energy, so, as heat is released,

Respiration is an exothermic process.

it is considered as an exothermic reaction because in respiration oxidation of glucose takes place which provides large amount of heat energy .
