Why rna and protein synthesis take place simultaneously?

It is because each process is controlled. In bacteria transcription and translation take place concordantly, as soon as mRNA is produced it is translated. In eukaryotes, transcription takes place in the nucleus but translation occurs mainly at the endoplasmic reticulum, with the mRNA transcript being transported there.
