In some cases, robots use AI (artificial intelligence) and do not need the control of humans, but, as they are non-living and only depend in electricity, they do not need the food which we eat, because humans need energy from food and not electricity, we can say that a robot's food is electricity but not the food that we eat like fruits, vegetables, etc.
