why root and square will be cancel in
 { \sqrt{2} }^{2}

 \sqrt{2}  is \: squared \: the \: answer \: is \:  \sqrt{2 \times 2} is \: equal \: to \: 2 \: so \: the \: squre \: and \: roots \: are \: canceld

 {2}^{ \frac{1}{2}  \times 2}  = 2 {}^{1}  = 2
