There is one reason for yr both ques!!!

There r two divisions in Endo-plasmic reticulum...
1. Rough endo-plasmic reticulum
2.Smootg endo-plasmic reticulum


Bcoz of the presence of RIBOSOMES on the endo-plasmic reticulum...we call it rough endo-plasmic reticulum... Also, bcoz of the absence of RIBOSOMES on the other part of endo-plasmic reticulum... We call it as smooth endo-plasmic reticulum.
