Since s orbital is spherical is nature so i can only do head on overlap, thus is not able to form pi bonds .

vishnu02: can u explain what u just said?
Anonymous: the shape of s orbital is spherical so it can't do parallel overlap to form pi bonds since a sphere is symmetrical from all sides ,it can only do head on overlap ,so only sigma bobs can be formed
vishnu02: thanks
Anonymous: of course
