Why salt doesn't conduct electricity why dry but does so when it is molten or mixed in water??​

solid salt has electrostatic force of attraction in them so they cannot be broken into ions which can conduct electricity.. so by introducing long heating or current in them they become molten and can thus conduct electricity as the electrostatic force of attraction in them has broken down..
