As we know the chemical name of salt is sodium chloride (NaCl) which is basically chlorine + sodium (Na + Cl) the presence of chlorine in salt gives its salty taste and for sugar it is naturally sugary because sugar is obtained by photosynthesis and Carbondioxide and water gives glucose and oxygen with sunlight and chlorophyll. Here, glucose is sugar.
