why sea water is salt and looks blue

HimanshuPandeya: Over time the sea water becomes saltybecause it contains lots of salt. The reasonsea water is blue is basically, water has no color. Water only absorbs light which then reflects it. ... Because red light absorbs strongly, makes it disappear, and blue light continues to penetrate inward.

The sea,ocean looks blue because red, orange and yellow (long wavelength light) are absorbed more strongly by water than is blue(short wavelength light). So when white light from the sun enters the ocean/sea,it's mostly the blue which get's return.....
