why shadow is black?

Explanation:

Shadows are formed when a object blocks the ray of light then light can't reach on the other side of the object.It appears black because visible light can't make it's way through the object. And as there's no light falling on it so therefore no reflections.So it looks black

Shadows are black because when an object blocks all the light than the area behind gets no light as a result as there is no light the shadow is seen to be black.

Reason with respect to eyes

As shadow have no light therefore our eyes don't get any reflections due to which we see shadows colour black.
