Why ships are not sunk in water but a little pin will be sinking. Why?

this is all because their density i.e mass per unit volume.

a little pin sinks in water whereas ships do not because..... property of wood is to float on water whereas a iron pin gets more complex and involes density

arman6: I'm not telling about wood boat but I'm taking about a large ship.
Suhani03: ya..... so that is too made up of aluminium which is light and floats on water........... mass also matters..
arman6: why ships are made from only aluminum and steel. Why they are not made from iron.
