The principle of consistency implies that accounting rules practices and conventions should be continuously applied or they should not be change from year to year. The reason behind this principle is that frequent changes in accounting treatment would make the financial statement unreliable to the person who use them. Have a word it does not mean that a particular method of accounting was adopted can never be changed
