Some seeds of citrus are referred to as Polyembryonic because they contain more than one embryos.
This phenomenon is called as polyembryony.
Polyembryony is the phenomenon of two or more embryos developing from a single fertilized egg. ... Polyembryony can occur in humans, resulting in identical twins, though the process is random and at a low frequency. Polyembryony occurs regularly in many species of vertebrates, invertebrates, and plants.
In citrus one embryo develops normally as a result of sexual reproduction and other additional embryos are produced from the cells of nucellus or integument apomictically.

Cifrus exhibits polyembryonic seed development, an apomictic
process in which many maternally derived embryos arise from the
nucellus surrounding the developing zygotic embryo. Cifrus seed
storage proteins were used as markers to compare embryogenesis in
developing seeds and somatic embryogenesis in vitro.
