Heres your answer:
Curd contains lactic acid and is acidic in nature. When it is kept in a copper or a brass vessel which are metals, the acid present in the curd reacts with the metal and hydrogen gas is evolved and curd becomes unfit for consumption as it can be poisonous.
eq. Acid + Metal ------> Salt+ Hydrogen
hope you find it helpful;)
