Why should cured and sour substance not be kept in brass and copper vessel ?

they are not kept in metal containers. Curd and sour substancescontain acid.They would react with the surface of metal vessels such as that of brass and copper to produce harmful substances. curd and sourthings have acid in them. ... So it is advised not to keep sour foo in copperor brass vessels.

curd and sour substances have acid in them and therefore when they are kept in brass and copper vessel that are metal they will react and toxic compounds are formed and it will change its taste into bad and make foul smell they make it unfit for consumption
