a constitution is a bedrock of democracyA constitution is the bedrock of a democracy. It contains a set of principles, laws and regulations which must be followed and if not followed they can be termed as the highest of the High offences. But a constitution is not just limited to a set of rules. It gives people a way of life. It is usually formed in the background of the way the country got it's democracy. Every (democratic) country's constitution has some features special to it which suit the best for the country because of the several special features the country possesses.

A Constitution is made because it nullifies the chance of a particular person usurping power. It contains all the power in itself and since is on paper won't misuse it unlike any loving being. It treats all the countrymen equally.

If you don't follow the Constitution then you might go and do whatever you want. This may infringe the personal life and rights of someone. So people will soon start following you. Thus, it will go on and on and form a chain people who have no care of the world around them. Further it would lead to violence, killings, fraud and what not.

Hence it is important that there should be a supreme authority which both limits your misdoings and also ushers a way for you. The Constitution does that
