Oils and fats should not be released in drains because they harden the soil in the sewage pipes and block them. Fats get clogged in holes of the soil in the drain and block it. It does not allow the water to flow. In an open drain also, fats block porosity of soil which affects its water filtering efficiency. That is why oils and fats should not be released in the drain.

Hence oils and fats should not be released in the drain.

Hii dear here is your answer.

Cooking oils and fats be not released in the drain. They can harden and block the pipes. In an open drain, fats clog the soil pores reducing the effectiveness in filtering water. Oils and fats should be thrown in the dustbin.

Hope it helps.
