Firstly yet there is no reserves of seats in Parliament and in state legislature but seats are reserved only in local government for women...
The process is continues to reserve the seats in Parliament and in state govt..but not yet passed away...
Now question...
Seat should be reserved...
* To give right of equality to women...
* To raise their self Independent power...
* For better contribution in administration..
* For show that India is being developed...

Almost 1/3 seats are reserved for women in parliament and state legislative.
It is because, in India women are usually the subject of discrimination. They are biased.
People think that they don't have the talent to make decisions and to form laws.
Therefore to secure their rights for such a situation seats are reserved in parliament for them.
