The central government is more powerful than any state government in India because it’s elected by the whole country. It has the power to appoint the governor of the states as well it can also make the major changes in the appointment of the various CJI and the other judges in the judicial system of India. It also holds the power to execute the defense forces. It holds the power the external affairs also. By this, they can appoint the foreign policy of India and appoint various ambassadors in the different embassy. The railways also come directly to the central government and the various communication organization also comes directly in the central government. This is the reason the central government holds the more power than any other state government in India.

I believe that the states should have more power than the national government. I believe that the states should be able to levy taxes, make the moral decisions(guns, abortion, gays, etc.), and the economic decisions(budget and regulation). I believe that the national government should be able to take a percent of state revenue, the nation can choose this, but the state is in charge of acquiring the revenue. For example, the nation can choose to acquire thirty percent of state revenue. This means that GA, TN, NY, NJ, etc. would tax the people and give thirty percent of their revenue to the nation.
The only powers that the nation should have are the aquiring of wealth(what I described above), military, currency, interstate infrastucture, and settling disputes between states.
The person who accepts this debate will argue against what I have stated and that the nation should have more power than the states
