because it are highly exothermic one in which energy is supplied in form of heat which ultimately cause severe burn

Because it produces a lot of heat as this reaction is exothermic reaction....
In exothermic reaction .... The heat is released during the reaction.... that's why the test tube is been kept away from our body...
