THAT IS BECAUSE MOST CHEMISTRY LAB DOORS HAVE THAT SPRING THING ON TOP. AND IF THEY OPEN OUTSIDE, IF U OPEN IT OUT TOO MUCH, IT BECOMES FIXED AND SO IT IS EASIER TO EVACUATE IN THE EVENT OF EMERGENCY
