Answer:
Scheduling. The nature of democracy is that elected officials are accountable to the people, and they must return to the voters at prescribed intervals to seek their mandate to continue in office. For that reason most democratic constitutions provide that elections are held at fixed regular intervals.

Answer:
The elections have to be held regularly so that the power of elected representatives is restricted and also people have right to choose the different leader if they feel that the present leader is worthy for the post. When the leaders promise certain things and do not fulfil that, next time people have right to change them.
The democratic country also holds the elections regularly!!
