why should we avoid buying things made of elephant tusks

Elephants going to wipe off in 10 years if governments don;t take action ...and all this because of the ivory trade, often illegal . Most of them are Asian and African elephants. Some are willing to pay the tusks more than they would give for cold. This is really a shame to let elephants wiping for a piece of luxury .
