We have to avoid standing close to a person patient while they are sneezing or coughing because when they sneeze many particles come out through their nose which can effect you by entering into your body by inhaling, and in coughing the process is same particles come out in higer quantity which can be dangerous for the person who is standing next to the COVID-19 patient
