Underemployment will result in our nation's economy facing problems, because in underemployment, not all the people involved in the work are working to there full potential.
If every person in the country works for his/her full potential, our economy will be boosted way further than its current rate. Also, many people are working in such a condition because they are extremely poor and have no other option. This will also increase poverty in our country. Hence, the government should look forward to the challenges of underemployment.

Underemployment is a great wastage of time of otherwise very capable persons. Underemployment leads to frustration as one does not earn and get to do as one would love to and is qualified to. We should worry about underemployment as due to this, the earning capacity of a person is reduced, leading to a poor standard of living. Ultimately this can also lead to poverty.
We should also be worried about it as it can lead to many social problems. It can make jobless people addicted to drugs, make them anti-social elements of society and also make them criminals. As a result, their future would be affected, causing illiteracy and no progress of nation.
