Why should we know about carbon footprints?

The term “Carbon Footprint” means the amount of Carbon Dioxide that an individual, group, or organization lets into the atmosphere in a certain time frame. It is important because of the greenhouse affect, witch is caused by Carbon Dioxide released into the atmosphere as gas. This affect traps heat from the sun and warms the Earth. This warming rips apart the ecosystems around the world by killing essential species that play very important roles in keeping other species at a certain population. This results in widespread infection, disease, and overpopulation of certain species. Global warming, is dangerous to us too. It will come to a point where many country's cant grow food, this will create a large group (billions of people) that are Climate refugees. Things will eventually turn into complete chaos if we don't change our carbon footprint to zero, very very soon.
