Why should we make the clock advanced when we go to Japan from India?

Time in Nepal is GMT +5:45 and Time in Japan is GMT +9 which clearly means Japan is ahead in time than Nepal. Therefore, we need to advance our clock 3 hours and 15 mins when we go to Japan from Nepal.
