Why should we select the lower part of leafe for stomata peel?

This is because the upper surface of the leaf is continuously exposed to sunlight. If more number of stomata is present on the upper surface then the plant will tend to loose more water. So in order to reduce the rate of transpiration, the upper surface has less number of stomata than the lower epidermal surface
