why should we use distilled water for determination of melting or boiling point of water?

Answer:

It is so because distilled water is pure water and it doesn't contains any solute so it's melting point and boiling point will not change it will be the actual mp and bp. But if it contains any solute then it cause the change in actual mp and bp.
