Why should we wear cotton clothes in hot summer days?

during summer we perspire more because of the mechanism of our body which keeps us cool.We know that during evaporation , the particles at the surface of the liquid gain energy from the surrounding or body surface and change into vapour. the heat energy from the body is absorbed leaving the body cool.Cotton being a good absorber of water helps in absorbing sweat exposing to the atmosphere for easy evaporation.

we prefer to wear cotton clothes to keep ourselves cool . The reason being that during summer , we sweat or perspire a lot . Now cotton is a good absorber of water.

It absorbs sweat from the body and exposes it to the air. Due to increase in surface area, Sweat evaporates by absorbing heat energy from the body and the cotton clothes . As a result our body feels cool and comfortable .
