single celled organisms are considered to be biologically immortal. This is because they don't die as they grow old. They usually undergo Mitosis (asexual reproduction) to reproduce, in which the organism itself gets divided into two (cell division).

Single cellled organisms undergo mitotic cell division usually one parent cell forms two daughter cells like in amoeba.

But the important thing here is that the parent cell does not die as it grows old like in the case of all other organisms. So in a perfect hypothetical environment such a cell would never die. Please not that a perfect conditions never exist on earth according to science.

This is why single cellled organisms are called B biologically immortal cause there is no signs of ‘aging’ in them they will never die due to their own body (cell).
